ADULT ART CLASSES

These friendly classes are designed to give confidence and are suitable for complete beginners to more advanced levels. Students are tutored and coached on their individual areas of interest, offering support and advice with a mix of classical and contemporary methods. If you have always wanted to be able to draw or paint then this opportunity is perfect for you. Equally suitable if you would like to develop your techniques and venture into professional art practice but need some extra guidance!Supporting interests in wildlife; animal and human portraits; landscape; and still life subjects – you will learn how to create sensitive and impactful artworks. You have freedom to work in a medium of your choice whether that be graphite, pastel, charcoal, coloured pencil, oil, acrylic and watercolour. Each month we cover a new 'tool' through a talk or demonstration, broadening your knowledge and covering new ideas…learning valuable techniques to help you ‘see’ and transcribe the world around you more easily; and enabling you to draw and paint ‘freehand’ without the dependence of gridding and tracing. Use of proportion, shape and colour, values and modelling, are all covered whilst working on your chosen subjects. Groups are kept to a limited number, offering plenty of 1:1 assistance.
